Pattern

noun から noun まで

から indicates a starting time or place, and まで indicates a finishing time or place.
から and まで are not always used together.
To indicate the starting or finishing time/date of a noun introduced as a topic, ～から、～まで or ～から～まで can be used with 「です」attached.

9時から 5時まで勉強します。

9じから 5じまでべんきょうします。

I study from 9 to 5.

大阪から東京まで 3時間かかります。

おおさかからとうきょうまで 3じかんかかります。

It takes three hours from Osaka to Tokyo.

銀行は 9時から 3時までです。

ぎんこうは 9じから 3じまでです。

The bank's open from 9 to 3.
